Opti-cal Survey Equipment Ltd is a Fully Accredited Authorised Leica Geosystems Distributor & Service Partner and supplies precision measurement technology to the surveying and engineering industries. The company sell, hire and service new and re-conditioned land survey and laser equipment and provide training and support.

Formed in 2002, the company has expanded consistently with sales growth at over 70% year on year and an annual turnover of over £5 million.

Over the years Opti-cal Survey Equipment Ltd have invested heavily in workforce and is now home to some of the most experienced and highly-trained service technicians in the country. With the acquisition of Swift Surveying Services in 2007 the company doubled its workforce and opened a new service facility at its second office at Pease Pottage, Crawley, near Gatwick. This service centre also provides the latest test software and test equipment enabling an extremely high standard of work to be carried out. In July 2010 they further expanded by opening a third office and service facility near Milton Keynes.

The company’s reputation has recently expanded into Europe and further afield which has further supported the company’s growth.

About The Survey Association

The Survey Association, known generally as TSA, is the trade body for commercial survey companies in the UK. The association was formed in 1979 to give a focus for private sector businesses in land and hydrographic survey. Since TSA moved its Headquarters to Newark in 2006 and established its own Secretariat, the association has grown substantially.

Today, the association has over 130 companies in membership as full, associate, supplier, affiliate or academic members directly involved in the survey business. The full and associate member companies together employ over 2500 people and had a turnover in 2007 of almost £250million.
